يهدف البحث إلي بيان دور الأزهر الشريف في مواجهة قضية التطرف، ويتكون البحث من عدة عناصر تتناول: الدور الداخلي للأزهر ويشمل: التعاون مع مؤسسات الدولة في محاربة الإرهاب. والمؤتمرات المنعقدة لنبذ العنف ومحاربة الإرهاب. وإنشاء مرصد الأزهر لمكافحة الإرهاب. وإنشاء مركز الأزهر العالمي لضبط الفتوي. وإنشاء مركز حوار الأديان للتوافق والتعايش. وإنشاء بيت العائلة المصرية  لوأد الفتنة. والعمل على تفعيل الدورات العلمية التدريبية المستمرة للوعاظ والأئمة المصريين والوافديين من أجل تنمية مهارتهم في الرد على شبهات التطرف والإرهاب. وإصدار مرئيات ( موشن جرافيك ) لمواجهة التطرف. والذهاب إلى قلب المناطق المنكوبة بخطر التطرف من خلال قوافل دعوية يقوم بها السادة الوعاظ تحت توجيهات فضيلة الإمام الأكبر ومجمع البحوث الإسلامية لنشر قيم التسامح والوسطية التي نادى بها الدين الحنيف. أما الدور الخارجي فيتناول: وثيقه الأخوة الإنسانية . والمنظمة العالمية لخريجي الأزهر الشريف. هذا واستخدمت في البحث المنهج الاستقرائي في إبراز دور الأزهر المحلي والإقليمي والعالمي. وانتهى البحث إلي عدة نتائج وتوصيات أهمها ضرورة الزيادة من تثقيف وتوعية الأئمة والوعاظ بما يؤهلهم لحمل رسالة السلام. ويمكنهم من نقد الأفكار المتطرفة. وكذلك ضرورة التأكيد على قيمة الالتزام بالقانون ومعرفة المواطن حقوقه. وضرورة ترسيخ قيم الحوار ونشر التسامح والوسطية.
Abstract:
The research aims to show the role of Al-Azhar in confronting the issue of extremism, and the research consists of several elements addressing: The internal role of Al-Azhar and includes: Cooperation with state institutions in the fight against terrorism. And conferences held to renounce violence and fight terrorism, and the establishment of the Al-Azhar Observatory to combat terrorism. And the establishment of the Al-Azhar International Center for Controlling Fatwas. and the establishment of the Interfaith Dialogue Centre for Harmony and Coexistence. And the establishment of the Egyptian family house for the sedition of the fena. And work to activate the continuous scientific training courses for Egyptian and expatriate preachers and imams in order to develop their skills in responding to suspicions of extremism and terrorism. And the issuance of visuals (motion graphic) to confront extremism and go to the heart of areas afflicted by the threat of extremism through advocacy convoys carried out by preachers under the directives of His Eminence the Grand Imam and the Islamic Research Academy to spread the values of tolerance and moderation advocated by the true religion. As for the external role, it deals with: the document of human fraternity. And the International Organization of Al-Azhar Alumni. The inductive approach was used in the research to highlight the role of Al-Azhar locally, regionally and globally. The research concluded with several results and recommendations, the most important of which is the need to increase the education and awareness of imams and preachers to qualify them to carry the message of peace. They enable them to critique extremist ideas. As well as the need to emphasize the value of abiding by the law and knowing the citizen's rights. It is necessary to consolidate the values of dialogue and spread tolerance and moderation.
